Update: They will also be hauling out of Dale Road on West Gun Lake Rd and down Vanderburg Hill approx 6-8 trucks per day.
The following is an update of Aspen Planers harvesting activities in the Bridge River Valley heading into the February long weekend.
Our harvesting crews are located throughout the valley in the following locations:
Slim Creek FSR
Gun Lake Area (Dale Road)
Cadwallader / Kingdom Lake Road
Expect logging truck traffic Monday to Friday on Road 40 with the possibility of some minor weekend trucking. Travel leaving Lillooet for Goldbridge later in the afternoon will reduce the amount of log truck encounters.
Logging trucks should not be hauling on Monday Feb 18 (Family Day).
Road building and harvesting activities are taking place above Gun Lake, up Dale Road and up the Slim Creek FSR in off the 8.5km spur. All trails in these areas are closed until activities can be completed.
There is a parking area for snowmobilers on the Slim Creek FSR just past the 8.5km spur. However due to the log hauling on the Slim FSR, if you are going travel the road to the parking area during operating hours make sure you either have radio contact or follow a vehicle that has radio contact and make sure they are aware you are following them.
Harvesting activities and log hauling are taking place out the Cadwallader (Kingdom Lake FSR).
