The following is an update for Aspen Planers harvesting activities in the Bridge River Valley heading into the May long weekend.
Logging and hauling will be primarily focused in the Marshall area for the next few weeks. Expect logging truck traffic Monday to Friday with the possibility of some minor weekend trucking. Travel leaving Lillooet for Goldbridge after 5 pm daily will reduce the amount of crew and log truck encounters. We will be active road building and harvesting in Liza Creek with log trucks starting to ship by the end of next week. We will also be located on a few of the side spurs near Marshall Lake.
There will be some brushing and road upgrades on the Slim FSR over the next month to access a new area that we may start logging later in the summer.
We will be starting deactivation in Tyax tomorrow ( May 15th) and plan to harvest the rest of Block 1 later in the month. That will complete all harvesting in Tyax for Cutting Permit 729.
In June we will be starting up activities past the end of Downton Lake, clearing snow slides, harvesting and trucking.
We will have planters in various locations, please respect their worksite. Drive slowly when traveling near them.
Any questions or comments can be sent to me directly.
Thank-you,
Bill Poppy, R.F.T.
