· Trails clean up days in two areas
· Cemetery grave weeding and clean up (School integrated with history)

We are also developing an “Adopt a Stretch of Road” for garbage pick-up.

Valley Wide Fire Training

The fire societies and interested folks from around the valley have combined forces to put on various training for the last two years. By working together they are able to get enough people for courses at a reasonable cost.  The training has been funded by Area A Select Funds (Thank You!) so there is very little cost to the groups and individuals.

Do you have a course that you or your group or business needs? If so please let us know in the next month as we are currently planning and scheduling.

Haylmore Heritage Site

There has been much planning going on over the winter regarding Year 2 of our revitalization of the Haylmore Heritage Site.

The Tourism Info Booth will be opened on site on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 beginning May long weekend.

The Artisan’s Group will be back also with their awesome locally produced Products. Date that they start TBD.

Also planned is a really neat tour that will include learning about Haylmore, visiting an old mine site, gold panning in the river or in our new mobile unit and a Miner’s breakfast. Special thanks to the mineral tenure holder, Scott Holden for his cooperation and support on this one.

Lots more info to come!!
